Our Mission
The Imperial Court of the Maple Leaf Empire exists to cultivate a vibrant and fulfilling social experience for all its members, fostering connection, creativity, and a sense of shared purpose. Through dynamic social gatherings, meaningful community initiatives, and imaginative fundraising events, we strive to generate a positive and lasting impact on the communities we serve. Our mission is not only to bring people together, but to uplift, empower, and enrich the broader 2SLGBTQIA and allied communities through celebration, generosity, and collective action.
5-Year Strategic Plan
In order to align ourselves as a leading not-for-profit social organization The Imperial Court of the Maple Leaf Empire Comittee of Directors and Members embarked on creating the our 5-Year Strategic Plan. Landing on 4 major themes the planning committee focused on key strategies to bolster and capitalize on our memberships strengths while ensuring that the best interest of the business of The Imperial Court of the Maple Leaf Empire are maintained.
The Four Major themes are:
People and Culture: Our goal is to become a leading social organization within the 2SLGBTQIA community by placing people—both current and prospective members—at the heart of everything we do. We strive to create meaningful value, benefits, and opportunities for our membership by fostering a culture of belonging, growth, and mutual support.
We will draw upon the expertise, leadership, and lived experience of those already well-established within the community, recognizing them as the foundation upon which our organization continues to grow. At the same time, we aim to attract and empower new members who are eager to learn, be mentored, and contribute their energy and talents to our shared mission. Together, this blend of wisdom and fresh enthusiasm will strengthen our collective impact.
Promoting Our Brand: We are committed to building strong recognition for the Imperial Court of the Maple Leaf Empire throughout the Ottawa Valley. By demonstrating excellence in all that we do, celebrating the unique spirit of our organization, and showcasing the positive contributions we make, we will cultivate a reputation rooted in community, joy, and good deeds.
Through active engagement, outreach, and visible community presence, we will grow our membership and share our story—ensuring that our brand becomes synonymous with inclusivity, creativity, and fun.
Innovative Distinctiveness: We will strengthen our community footprint by leveraging our current structure, unique traditions, and signature events to deepen engagement both within and beyond our membership. By encouraging members to host, participate in, and collaborate on community social events, we will create new pathways for visibility, connection, and innovation.
This spirit of distinctiveness—rooted in our history but open to bold new ideas—will ensure that the ICMLE continues to stand out as a dynamic and imaginative force within the 2SLGBTQIA community.
Establishing the College of Monarchs: A key milestone in our 5-Year Plan is the formal establishment of the College of Monarchs. By the end of this period, we envision a vibrant council composed of past monarchs who will serve as mentors, advisors, and guardians of our traditions.
This College will carry forward the knowledge, dignity, and legacy of previous reigns, ensuring continuity, stability, and inspiration for future leaders. Their collective experience will illuminate the path ahead, acting as a shining beacon as we prepare to shape and launch our next 5-Year Plan.
